"Sexy" digital health startups showcase innovations at NYDHA demo day

A prominent accelerator program in New York held its third annual demo day earlier today, where it presented six startups from its mentoring program to a room full of potential investors and senior executives in the healthcare industry.
The event, which took place at the Alexandria Center for Life Science in Manhattan, caps off a five-month program where a class of early- and growth-stage health tech companies received guidance from the state's senior health execs. Since entering the New York Digital Health Accelerator back in September, the six companies were able to secure over $3 million of new funding and are currently finalizing 14 pilot agreements.
The program, run by Partnership Fund for New York City, underscores the burgeoning life science and health-tech industries across Silicon Alley, according to Partnership president and CEO Maria Gotsch.
"Health-tech is definitely on the rise and this program makes it stronger," Gotsch told New York Business Journal. "The accelerator provides access to senior-level executives from New York's top healthcare institutions and provider systems."
